Our History

The growth of Wood & Cabinet Co. over the decades has paved the way for the future, from humble beginning, it has grown to be a renowned design led manufacturer of Motorhome, Vehicle and Camper Van Interiors, all designed and built in West Yorkshire, England.

It all started in Meltham, a small town in the Holme Valley, back in 2003 with local pioneer Derek Jones making bespoke furniture, which developed into small kitchens for clients from his small rented workshop.

The name was invented from Derek’s childhood fondness of traditional oak furniture. Growing up Derek was fascinated by how things were put together and made, always wanting to figure it out. This lead Derek, the now time served production craftsman to have successful careers before Managing Director in Pattern Making, Foundries and Model making. 

After two years at Wood & Cabinet Co, Derek came across Tom Hollins and took the young boy on as his apprentice, training Tom as a Bench Joiner. Discovering Tom’s fast learning ability, innovative ideas alongside his outstanding vision and great craftsmanship, Tom grew alongside the company. Today, finding himself the Director alongside Derek.
